Topic B: Responding to Foreign Election Interference

Serina Fan | Director

As a junior at Crofton House School, Serina is honoured to serve as the Director of the EU at CAHSMUN 2027. Ever since she first mustered up the courage to raise her placard with a shaky hand, Serina has wholeheartedly embraced the voice cracks, stutters, and lifelong memories that MUN has offered her. At conferences, she can be found running around in search of another strawberry açaí lemonade while arguing with her GPS about which way is north. Outside of MUN, she can be found reading historical fiction or attempting to cook. Most importantly, legend has it that if you interrupt Serina while she’s streaming &TEAM, she will hit you with a 45-minute, uninterrupted speech on the ethics of your life choices. She hopes this iteration of CAHSMUN will be an unforgettable and rewarding experience for all delegates, filled with loud table banging, frantic note-passing, and engaging debate.

Felix Chen | Chair

A stubborn senior roaming the halls of Fraser Heights Secondary, Felix is thrilled—and mildly concerned—to serve on the dais of the European Union at CAHSMUN. After discovering Model UN, Felix somehow went from cautiously learning parliamentary procedure to voluntarily spending entire weekends moderating diplomatic arguments between sleep-deprived delegates. Within the Sheraton Wall Centre, he can be found defending the sanctity of decorum, watching lifelong alliances collapse over a single operative clause, and pretending that unmoderated caucuses are entirely under control. Outside Model UN, Felix researches biomedical AI, builds ambitious projects that rarely work on the first try (sometimes catching fire and blowing up), and treats spreadsheets like a personality trait (he hates Excel). He looks forward to a weekend filled with sharp debate, questionable diplomatic decisions, unexpected blocs, and just enough chaos to keep the European Union interesting.

Ashley Lowe | Chair

Entering her final year at Richmond Christian School, Ashley is ecstatic to serve as the chair of the EU committee. From delivering the world's longest four-word speech, she is incredibly grateful for how Model UN has helped her grow as a speaker and for the countless unforgettable memories she made. One of Ashley's most treasured conference memories was accidentally ordering all three sizes of McDonald's fries because apparently one was not enough. Outside of MUN, Ashley can be found taking her scheduled three-hour nap at 3 PM, achieving record-breaking hours on TikTok, or discovering the next trending food combo (cookies and cream ice cream with seaweed is so good).
