Jasper Zhong | Director

As a senior at Steveston London Secondary School, Jasper is ecstatic to serve as Director of the UNICEF committee at CAHSMUN 2027. Ever since his first committee session, Jasper has been mesmerized by the vibrant atmosphere of committees as delegates come up with ever more creative ways to start their speeches. Model UN has been nothing short of an inflection point in his life, creating unforgettable memories, discovering new people, and prompting (un)questionable speeches. Outside of Model UN, Jasper can be spotted near various food spots with friends, playing badminton, or trying to find the perfect balance between time procrastinated and studying completed by trial and error. For the upcoming CAHSMUN Horizons 2025, Jasper cannot wait for a weekend of intense debate and wishes all delegates the best of luck!

Karina Fung | Chair

Struggling through her junior year at York House School, Karina is honoured to serve as the Chair of UNICEF for CAHSMUN 2027. Ever since stepping into her first committee in Grade 8, terrified, she has grown to levitate towards the electric energy of global debate, the strategic maneouvering behind drafting resolutions, and the genuine connections formed during conferences. When she’s not frantically writing speeches or drafting resolutions, Karina spends most of her free hours hunting down local mango drinks, learning new languages, or carefully crafting together vlogs. She is thrilled to help lead UNICEF and cannot wait to welcome delegates for an unforgettable weekend!

Ethan Mukhopadkyay | Chair

A Grade 11 student at St. John’s School, Ethan is thrilled to be serving as a Chair for UNICEF at CAHSMUN 2027. From beginning public speaking through Bible readings in Grade 2, to discovering LD debate in Grade 7, Ethan eventually found his way into the geopolitical chaos of MUN last year, quickly becoming drawn to the negotiation (and occasional chaos!) that comes with writing resolutions. From giving very out-of-place speeches at his first conference to convincing his friends to try MUN themselves, he hopes to help create a committee that is both engaging and memorable. Outside of committee sessions, Ethan can usually be found playing Overwatch, giving monologues in theatre, hunting for rare pieces of cardboard, practicing cardistry, or bothering his friends. He is incredibly excited to meet everyone at CAHSMUN 2027!
