In the span of just 20 years, the name Netflix has completely replaced cable television and rental movie stores. It offers subscribers on-demand access to popular movies, television shows, and exclusive content made by Netflix. This committee undoubtedly appeals to delegates interested in Netflix’s many IPs and the world of the film industry. As a hybrid committee, Netflix’s delegates will tackle the familiar aspects of streaming services from the perspectives of unique actors in high-pressure scenarios.

As a Specialized Agency, Netflix is recommended for intermediate and experienced delegates who are interested in the intersection of film, business, and public policy. Netflix is a hybrid committee, offering one topic in Regular Rules of Procedure and one topic in Crisis Rules of Procedure. Position papers are not required. Delegates who do not submit position papers will still be considered for awards.

Questions, inquiries and position papers for this committee can be emailed to netflix@cahsmun.org.

Backgrounder A

Olina Liu | Director

Currently a junior at Steveston London Secondary School, Olina is thrilled to serve as the Director for Netflix, Inc., for CAHSMUN 2026! Ever since her first Model UN conference as a humbling eighth-grader, Olina has found her love for diplomacy, developed her passion for public speaking, and created many long-lasting friendships along the way. Outside of the conference room, Olina can be spotted waiting in the long line for Starbucks, munching on food with her friends in full Western Business Attire, or delightedly sipping away on her boba. Her love for MUN has only grown; from walking up to the podium for the first time to loudly banging on the table, it has truly been embedded in her memories. Olina is looking forward to a fruitful debate and an unforgettable experience for everyone!

Erwin Wang | Chair

A senior at St. Georgeʼs School, Erwin is honoured to serve as Chair of the Netflix, Inc committee. Since attending his first conference in grade 9 as an anxious delegate, Erwin's interest and involvement with Model UN have only deepened. From constantly motioning for roundtables to threatening to nuke the USA in his speeches, this non-spectator sport has helped Erwin form new connections, advance his knowledge of global events, and make unforgettable memories that he will cherish for the rest of his high school career. Outside of Model UN, Erwin can be found sweeping hard on the curling rink, watching Real Madrid matches, and hanging out with his cat. Erwin is excited to meet the delegates and sincerely hopes every delegate has an unforgettable experience at CAHSMUN 2026!
