MiHoYo is a Chinese games and technology development company operating on a unique slogan: “Tech Otakus Save the World.” It is notably the parent company of HoYoverse, the game studio behind gacha games like Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail. These games are cultural sensations for not only Chinese audiences, but Western audiences too. miHoYo, as a committee, gives delegates an opportunity to engage with the games industry in a unique way, while exploring topics that only grow more relevant.

As a Specialized Agency, MiHoYo is recommended for intermediate and experienced delegates who are interested in the intersection of technology, gaming, and public policy. MiHoYo is a hybrid committee, offering one topic in Regular Rules of Procedure and one topic in Crisis Rules of Procedure. Though not mandatory, position papers are highly recommended for all delegates, and are required to be considered for awards.

Questions, inquiries, and position papers for this committee can be emailed to mihoyo@cahsmun.org.

Mary Lu | Co-Director

A Grade 12 student attending Rockridge Secondary, Mary is thrilled to serve as the Co-Director of miHoYo at CAHSMUN 2026. Mary began her MUN journey in Grade 9 at the insistence of her upperclassmen, and discovered her interest in public speaking and diplomacy through her shaky first speech. Since then, she has created unforgettable memories and forged meaningful friendships—albeit at the expense of her sleep—through MUN. These range from witnessing a mid-crisis marriage, planning guest speaker scripts, and having a breakdown over losing her wallet. Outside of MUN, Mary is rereading her favorite 551-chapter webnovel, gambling in video games, occasionally practicing violin, or revisiting franchises that she loved years ago. Mary is excited to meet everyone and looks forward to a weekend of creative, gacha-addiction driven committee sessions befitting of miHoYo fans!

Brandon Xu | Co-Director

As a Grade 12 student at Semiahmoo Secondary, Brandon is thrilled to serve as the Co-director of miHoYo at CAHSMUN 2026. After discovering the fascinated MUN community in 2022, Brandon has found himself a perfect environment for him to pursue his passion in debate, global affairs and diplomacy. Every conference has provided Brandon an unique opportunity to learn and become a stronger MUN participant, he is excited to uncover more challenges to learn and improve. Outside the conference room, Brandon is interested in bonding with his friends through Riot Games, practicing all kinds of music and trying out all of the goofy hangouts with his peers from Abbotsford. Brandon hopes that all delegates that are attending CAHSMUN 2026 will have an excellent time and create more memorable experiences.

Marie Harmsworth | Chair

As a grade 11 at Lord Byng Secondary School, Marie is thrilled to be serving as the chair of miHoYo at CAHSMUN 2026. Since being dragged into MUN in 2023, she has developed a deep passion for the fruitful debate, chaotic crisis sessions, and intense table knocking found within the committee room. Since then, she has committed an almost unspeakable amount of time fixated on topics ranging from Weapons of Mass Destruction to Inside Out. Beyond the committee room, Marie can be found refining her Spotify playlists, scrambling to complete the many items on her to-do list, or testing her spice tolerance. Marie sincerely hopes that CAHSMUN 2026 will offer delegates a weekend of fruitful debate and many exhilarating committee sessions.

Vivian Ye | Chair

As a rising senior at Mount Douglas Secondary, Vivian Ye is thrilled to serve as a Chair of miHoYo at CAHSMUN 2026. Since her first conference four years ago, Vivian fell in love not just with the debate but with the MUN community itself. She quickly realized that, along with the awards and energetic discussion, MUN also came with new connections, memorable experiences, and the chance to share unique perspectives. Outside of the committee room, she can be found drinking copious amounts of ceremonial-grade matcha, permanently bruising her elbows from diving for volleyballs, and quite literally ‘kissing’ the snow while snowboarding. Vivian also enjoys sports photography, listening to SZA, and exploring Vancouver’s culinary scene. Inspired by the opera-singing competitions and directives to “nuke the world,” Vivian hopes to create an engaging, fun, and uniquely memorable experience for every delegate at CAHSMUN 2026.
